Dear East Hampton Community:
On May 19, 2026, voters in the East Hampton UFSD will be asked to vote on three important bond proposals. These proposals came together after more than a year of listening and planning by the Board of Education as it sought to shape Bonac's future for at least the next 20 years.
Proposition #1 will allow the District to make many needed structural improvements in our schools. The work in this proposition comes without any impact on the taxes in this community because of retiring debt.
Proposition #2 will allow the District to build an eight lane indoor pool to be used by students for swimming and water safety instruction as well as for swimming and diving competitions. Classes in pool construction and maintenance will be offered to our high school students. Additionally, community members will be able to use the pool during non-school hours.
Proposition #3 will allow the District to build an indoor athletic facility with a basketball court and an indoor turf field for practice purposes. The facility will be used by our students and student-athletes, and be open to the community during non-school hours.
Please educate yourself on these three proposals using the materials posted on this page and then cast your vote on May 19.
